The Handmade Music School presents a songwriters workshop with Jeff McClellan and Scott Patrick on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 3:00-5:00pm. This workshop is for developing songwriters at any level. Cost is $30.

Hit Songwriter Jeff McClellan & Producer/Arranger Scott Patrick are teaming up to provide brief look at all aspects of songwriting.  We will have three main components: lyric & arrangement, PRO’s & Publishing, Demo & Song Pitch Etiquette and decide as a group what to spend most of our time working on.

Jeff McClellan

Jeff McClellan is an award winning songwriter and acoustic performer who has lived his entire life in the Appalachian region of America. His roots are in the mountains where hard work, family, faith, and trust in your neighbor are not just a cliché, but indeed a way of life. Jeff draws from that way of life in his writing. Jeff has been writing songs since he learned his first chords on guitar as a child. Until recently, he simply wrote his songs, played them for friends and family occasionally, and hid them away in drawers and boxes.

Scott Patrick

Scott has been playing guitar for 22 years and is an avid songwriter. He has song credits with several professional bluegrass acts including Mike Bentley of Grasstowne, Darin & Brooke Aldridge Band, and Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome. He currently performs with a trio called Branch House along with mandolin extraordinaire, Abe Goorskey and Amber Collins (formerly of No Speed Limit).
