The Handmade Music School presents Limberjack Decorating & Dancing with Linda Ray on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. This is a fabulous chance to dress, paint and decorate your own special doll, and then learn how to make them dance to the music. The first half of the workshop will be craft time, paint, fabric, and other materials will be provided. (Barbie clothes sometimes fit too if you want to bring your own). We will take a quick refreshment break in the middle, and come back to learn a few techniques that make the limber jack dance. The cost is $45 and includes limberjack.Find out more
The Handmade Music School presents a Live Sound Workshop Series with Joseph DeJarnette of Studio808A/Turn It Down Sound. Workshop dates are Tuesdays September 4 (beginners), October 2 (Intermediate), and December 4 (Advanced) from 6pm-8pm. This advanced workshop is designed for folks who already know how to set-up and run a small PA, but are looking to become more familiar with fine tuning a system for the best possible sound using whatever gear and space is available. This session will also be useful for musicians looking to communicate better with professional sound engineers, or to tweak their own sound at small gigs.Find out more
The Handmade Music School presents an in-depth vocal workshop with Alice Gerrard: Masters and Community in Traditional Music on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Enjoy a full day of in-depth instruction from the legendary Alice Gerrard. This vocal workshop will begin by delving into the stories and voices of the musicians and culture that paved the way for the traditional music of today. The Handmade Music School presents a beginners ukulele workshop with Ash Devine on Saturday December 29, 2018 from 1:00-3:00pm. This workshop is for developing songwriters at any level. Cost is $65 with a new ukulele, $30 for workshop only. This is a family-friendly, kid-friendly workshop priced with a ukulele. It is a perfect gift and activity for the Holiday vacation week!
